Reading recovery literature helps us to understand and reinforce our programme of dual recovery. It focuses us on recovery and away from cravings, distress, irritation, restlessness, doubt and boredom. It helps us move from the problem into the solution.
DRA's literature and recovery books are a resource that provides us with insight and hope on our journey of dual recovery. They are always there for us, even when another member may not be or we feel we need to be alone.
Many members find that when they read DRA literature on a daily basis, it reinforces their recovery and continues to bring new meaning to their programme, to living the Twelve Steps.
When our sponsors are unavailable, our support network cannot be reached, and we are unable to go to a meeting, we can always turn to our recovery literature.

Recovery literature available from other Twelve Step organisations, from treatment centres and from publishers that specialise in recovery literature can also be an excellent source of help and information.
